Why can Kamagra chewable Tablet cause blurred vision in some users?
Kamagra chewable tablets contain sildenafil, the same active ingredient found in medications like Viagra. Sildenafil can cause side effects in some users, and blurred vision is one of the potential side effects.
This occurs because sildenafil works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which increases blood flow to certain areas of the body, including the penis. However, PDE5 is also present in other tissues, including the eyes. Sildenafil can affect the PDE5 enzyme in the retina, the part of the eye responsible for vision.
As a result, in some people, sildenafil can interfere with normal visual processing, causing side effects such as:
Blurred vision
Increased sensitivity to light (photophobia)
Color vision changes, such as a blue tint to vision (this is called "blue vision")
These visual disturbances are generally temporary and should subside once the medication has worn off, typically within a few hours. However, if you experience persistent or bothersome vision changes, it’s important to consult your doctor. In rare cases, sildenafil may cause more serious eye issues, such as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which can lead to permanent vision loss, though this is extremely rare.
If you experience side effects like blurred vision, it’s a good idea to speak with your healthcare provider to discuss whether Kamagra chewable Tablet or sildenafil is the right medication for you, or if adjustments need to be made. |
