What Are the Key Differences Between Vigora 50 mg and Other Long-Term PE Treatments?

Premature Ejaculation (PE) is a common condition that affects many men worldwide. It occurs when a man ejaculates sooner than desired during sexual intercourse, often causing stress or dissatisfaction in relationships. Various treatments are available to manage PE, including oral medications like Vigora 50 mg, which contains Sildenafil, the same active ingredient found in Viagra. However, several other long-term treatments for PE exist, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. In this article, we’ll explore the key differences between Vigora 50 mg and other long-term PE treatments.

1. Active Ingredient and Mechanism of Action
Vigora 50 mg contains Sildenafil, which works primarily by increasing blood flow to the penis. This enhanced blood circulation helps men achieve and maintain an erection. However, while Sildenafil helps with erectile function, its impact on ejaculatory control is more indirect. Sildenafil works on improving the physical aspects of sexual performance, which can lead to longer-lasting sexual encounters. It does not directly address the timing of ejaculation but may help improve overall sexual confidence, which in turn can reduce the pressure that leads to premature ejaculation.

In contrast, other long-term PE treatments may focus more directly on controlling the timing of ejaculation. Some common options include:

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), such as Dapoxetine (often sold as Priligy), are a class of antidepressants that are also used off-label for PE. SSRIs work by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which can delay ejaculation.

Topical Anesthetics, like lidocaine or benzocaine, are applied directly to the penis to reduce sensation and delay ejaculation. These work by numbing the area and reducing overstimulation.

Behavioral Techniques and Therapy: For long-term management, many men explore therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or sex therapy, which address psychological factors contributing to PE. Techniques like the "stop-start" method or squeeze technique are often recommended.
