The rights to stream two games in the current season were estimated to been worth Netflix 150 million dollars, which is substantially higher per-game that Amazon has paid in 2017 for the exclusive streaming rights in Thursday Night Football (TNF) games. It follows from the WWE Smackdown rights that were obtained in January which has firmly established Netflix as a sports streaming potential contender (as MIDiA predicted would happen by 2024.)
Amazon's acquisition of the sole (domestic) TNF broadcast / streaming rights in 2021, for 15.4 times the price the previous price, triggered an explosion in the worth of NFL rights, which is now $100 billion in the next 10 years, making them among the top rights in sports worldwide.
